A New Musical

UPON ONCE A TIME…

with a modern edge.

Campy, clever, and full of heart, Rumpelstiltskin’s Daughter irresistibly  spins a classic fairytale into pure musical gold!

This dazzling new, major musical that flips the classic fairy tale upside down. Packed with cheeky humor, larger-than-life antics, spectacular tap dance production numbers, with enough sparkle to outshine a King’s ransom, it’s the perfect blend of over-the-top camp and heartfelt charm.

Described as a cross between Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Sondheim’s Into the Woods, this witty show brings that kind of magic, with a fresh twist. At its core, it’s a feel-good story about kindness and compassion triumphing over greed and gluttony.

It’s an entertaining story of kindness, courage, and the power of standing up for what’s right—with plenty of laughs along the way.

An absurdly self-absorbed King is obsessed with extravagant parties and hoarding gold, even as his own people starve. Enter Rumpelstiltskin’s Daughter, a clever, young heroine who has her father’s knack for mischief and her own brand of brilliance. She’s not afraid to take on the King.  With her quick wit, and perhaps a little bit of magic, plus a lesson or two about humanity, she transforms the self-absorbed King so he can rule with compassion— and saves an entire Kingdom.

(Spoiler Alert!) When this changed King ultimately offers to make her Queen for all she has done, she replies with the utmost of grace and strong independent spirit “Thank you your Majesty, but I would rather become Prime Minister!”
